Red Bull gives you wings, and it is our duty to protect those wings. That is why when our 12-year-old cases for the Red Bull Air Race planes came to us for an upgrade, we were happy to take them into our shop and make sure everything was up to date.
These cases have traveled around the world, running through the United Arab Emirates, Europe, Hungary, Asia, Russia, the United States every year… and now they have come back through our doors for a slight touch up. Teams Muroya, Golian, Kopfstein, Sonka, McLeod and Chambliss all wound up in our shop today to be sent back out and ready for the next series of races.
These cases have seen a lot, including poor weather conditions. Because of this, some of the old latches had become rusty and needed to be interchanged with new ones. We’ve adapted our exclusive, oversized corners which we regularly use now on our cases, to better withstand the constant abuse of our road cases.
Within these cases are the wings of several contestants’ planes. The wings are for the Edge 540, and our featured pilots are Kirby Chambliss (USA), Michael Goulian (USA), Pete McLeod (UK), Petr Kopfstein (Czech), runner up Martin Sonka (Czech), and 2017 champion Yoshihide “Yoshi” Muroya (Japan).
